“What are you looking forward to in a post COVID world? For me, it’s the little things, like hugging my 88-year-old grandfather and introducing my little one to friends and family. I’m looking forward to sharing books with kids and greeting them with a smile unobstructed by a mask.
In order to do these things, we need herd immunity. We ALL need to get the vaccine. The vaccine is our best “shot” at returning to the life we want.
I will be getting the vaccine to protect my son. I will be getting the vaccine so that I can introduce him to family members, like I should have been able to do when he was born.
I will be getting the vaccine for my grandparents, so that I can hug them and enjoy time with them without being 6’ apart.
I will be getting the vaccine for my students, so that we can circle up on the carpet and share books and materials without consequence. So I can high-five them over the completion of a tough math test or and talk with them in person rather than through a screen.
I will be getting the vaccine. Will you?”
